Security was all the rage in Las Vegas the past few days, and not just airport security. Attendance was strong at this year’s ISC West. Besides the multitude of corporate announcements from the 916 booths at the show, including us! The Lantronix team witnessed a variety of important trends and movements at the show.

As Samuel Pfeifle from Security Systems News pointed out, a major announcement came from Reed Exhibitions, owners of the ISC West event. The Fall 2010 counterpart, ISC East, is being transformed for 2010 and will now be known as ISC Solutions. The focus will be healthcare, retail, education/campus and government verticals, and will deep dive into applications rather than solely look at products.

For Lantronix, this revamping reflects our view of the customer needs as well. At the show, it was good to see and meet existing and new potential customers. These formative interactions showed there was no shortage of creative application of our technology to solve critical market needs. We look forward to incorporating these customer driven suggestions into our future products.

Applications and real-life use cases are a vital part of Lantronix’ strategy and we love hearing what our customers are doing with our products.
