Irvine, CA – July 17, 2018 – Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRX), a global provider of secure data access and management solutions for the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) announced that Gene Schaeffer has joined the Company as the head of sales for the Americas region.

Prior to joining the Company, Schaeffer served as senior vice president of global sales for OCZ Storage Solutions, a Toshiba Group Company, where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s enterprise footprint while growing commercial revenues. Prior to joining OCZ, he was executive vice president of worldwide sales for PLX Technology, a global provider of semiconductor-based connectivity solutions, where he was a key contributor in the development and implementation of an organization-wide transformation that led the company to record revenues and profitability, and eventual acquisition by Avago Technologies. Schaeffer has held various senior management positions at other technology companies including PulseCore Semiconductor, Exar Corporation and Cypress Semiconductor.
